Download Transmission 1.20

The developers of the BitTorrent client Transmission released version 1.20 of their eponymous program last Friday. Transmission is an open source cross-platform and lightweight BitTorrent client with a simple interface. The program has been developed for use under Mac OS X, but versions for Linux, Solaris and Net, Free and OpenBSD can also be found on the download page. The changelog for this release shows the following changes:

• IP blocking using the Bluetack Level1 blocklist
• Better support of multitracker torrents
• Faster UPnP port mapping on startup
• Ability to reset global statistics

• Inhibit hibernation when downloading
• Use XDG basedir spec for configuration files
• Various bug fixes and usability improvements
• Vastly improved translations thanks to the Ubuntu translation team
