Software Update: ThreatFire 4.5.0.12

PC Tools, known for its Spyware Doctor, Registry Mechanic and PC Tools Antivirus programs, released version 4.5.0.12 of ThreatFire this week. This program is intended to protect the computer against viruses, spyware and identity theft. However, it is not intended to be a standalone product, but to complement existing antivirus and firewall software protection. It monitors certain behavioral patterns, such as keyboard strokes, for example, and thus offers protection against spyware, adware, keyloggers, viruses, worms, Trojans, rootkits, buffer overflows and other forms of malware.
