Software Update: SoftPerfect Network Scanner 6.0.4

SoftPerfect has released version 6.0.4 of Network Scanner. This program is a simple ip, netbios and snmp scanner. It does not need to be installed to do its job, so it can be used quickly and easily to see who and what is connected to the network. The program is multithreaded and can see network shares, mac addresses, open ports and logged in users, among other things. The download is less than three megabytes in size and the program is completely free to use. In version 6.0.4 the following changes and improvements have been made:

• Support for multiple ranges on the /range command line switch.
• Checkmarks allowing to show/hide third-party applications.
• Built-in credential manager and “try-all-logins” feature.
• Password encryption in config files (except SNMP passwords).
• Custom font option for the main view in the settings.

Fixed

• Sending ARP requests outside current subnet to resolve MAC addresses.
• Using old IP addresses in DHCP Discovery and the IP detection dialog.
