Software Update: ScreenToGif 2.34

Spread the love

Version 2.34 of ScreenToGif has been released. With this open source application, the actions on the screen or the images from the webcam can be recorded. The result can optionally be edited with the baked-in editor and then saved as an animated gif image or mp4 movie file. For example, the program can be used well for making short instructional videos.

The program relies on .Net 4.8 and the download is therefore minimal. Also, it can be used without having to install it first. ScreenToGif is being actively developed and new versions appear regularly. The changelog for this release looks like this:

What’s new?

  • Added option to manually check for updates

Fixed:

  • The frame navigation using keyboard arrows and home/end buttons was not working.
  • If you loaded two editors with a project, the frame list of the first one was being overwritten.
  • The keyboard navigation of the screen recorder (newer or older variants) was out of order
  • Some shortcut key were not working for the screen recorder actions
  • Disabled Gifski on x86, since it’s unsupported
  • Added progress info when processing frames at start and made it possible to cancel during a task
  • The option to cancel a frame altering process was not appearing if the editor already loaded something before.
  • The text displayed at startup when an update was available was not being updated when the application language had changed.
