Malwarebytes released version 1.24 of Rogueremover yesterday. This program can be compared to Lavasoft’s Ad-aware, but instead of fighting spy and adware, the target of this program is malicious software that pretends to be a bona fide anti-virus or anti-spyware solution, but actually has other intentions has. Some examples are Winantispyware, Winantibirus, Spyaxe, Virusblast and Virusbursters. Another similarity with Ad-aware is that there is a paid variant. Rogueremover Pro offers additional functionality, including real-time protection. The changelog of this release shows the following changes:
