Rainlendar is a program with which it is possible to display a calendar on the desktop. The program, which is available for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X, is completely customizable to make. For example, the language and appearance can be adjusted, an alarm can be set and a to-do list can be kept up to date. Rainlendar is available in a free Lite version and a paid Pro version. The latter also offers the possibility to share the calendar for about ten euros and has support for synchronization with Outlook and Google Calendar. A new beta release of version 2.5 of Rainlendar came out on Sunday with build number 75 and here is what has changed in that release:

Changes in this release:

• Alarm was calculated incorrectly for the weekly recurring all day events. Fixed.
• Alarm for some recurring Outlook events couldn’t be dismissed. Fixed.
• “ignoredefault” doesn’t ignore the default appearance anymore if it comes from other events.
• The alarm list is sorted by the start/due time.
• Setting remainder to 0 for text element disables the bitmap rotating.
• Priority items for todo lists can contain child items now too.
• Added color categories to the Shadow4 skin.
• Added search field to the advanced options. Both the property names and values ​​are matched.
• The X-properties are removed from the exported ics file to make it more compatible with other calendar applications.
• Added context menus to event/task editors and the manager on Mac.
• Skin details window now displays the installed addons.
• Tasks written to RTM didn’t preserve the due date. Fixed.
• Outlook alarms didn’t work on some timezones. Fixed.
• Added API functions to edit the events/tasks from lua _script_s.
• Clicking the button in front of the tasks toggles the status between completed and needs action.
