Software update: Prey demo

Since today it is possible to play the long-awaited Prey, because developer Human Head released the first playable demo version of the game this afternoon. The demo of the first-person shooter is available via this site downloaded from several servers and takes up approximately 449.02 megabytes. Xbox 360 owners could also try the demo today, but due to ‘an issue of timingThe demo version has been postponed for the time being. In Prey you take on the role of Tommy, a native American who returns home after his military service. Once home, he and his people are abducted by aliens, after which the game begins.

For those who can still remember, the first screenshots of Prey appeared in various game magazines around 1995 and the game was then described as a Quake killer, the game that set the standard in those years and served as an example for (multiplayer) first person shooter. A series of new screenshots were included on the Duke Nukem 3D CD a year later. These pictures have been put online in this folder by GoT moderator Terr. The screenshots looked innovative for 1996 .
