Software update: PerformanceTest 8.0 build 1037

PassMark Software, known for BurnInTest and WirelessMon, among others, has released an update for version 8.0 of PerformanceTest. This program allows a computer running Windows XP or higher to be subjected to a series of benchmarks. In 32 tests, the five main groups, namely the processor, 2D graphics, 3D graphics, storage and memory, are tested as objectively as possible and graphically compared to a number of other systems. In addition, there are seven extra tests, in which virtualization and the network can be examined, among other things. Since build 1034, the following changes and improvements have been made:

Changes in version 8.0 build 1037

  • Added check for AMD powerxpress to try and correctly detect AMD graphics cards in dual card laptops
  • Added support for AMD R5 M230, R5 M255, R7 M260, R7 M265, R9 M275X, R9 M265X, R9 M270X, R9 M290
  • Added DDR4 SPD decoding
  • Increased timeout when using the simple search option in baseline management to prevent an issue where no results were being returned

Changes in version 8.0 build 1036

  • Fixed a library error that was preventing PerformanceTest from running in Windows XP

Changes in version 8.0 build 1035

  • Added a warning on startup when using a “Power saver” power plan
  • Added Atom NXXXX Temperature monitoring
  • Added AMD R9 295X2 and R7 260 support
  • Fixed an issue where in some cases systems were not displaying all their installed RAM modules correctly (more noticeable in systems with >16 RAM slots)
