Software Update: PassMark WirelessMon 3.1 build 1005

Spread the love

PassMark Software released version 3.1 build 1005 of WirelessMon today. With this program, the status of the wireless network card and of the access points within its range can be monitored. This makes it possible to see whether the network has been configured correctly, to test whether all components are working properly, whether the access points are secured and what the network throughput speeds are. If directional antennas are used, the program can help locate an antenna, as well as help detect interference and other problems. The following three changes have been made in this release:

Changes in version 3.1 build 1005:

  • Fixed a possible bug when using the “Reload network cards” button, if more network cards were found (eg adding a USB network card) the counters might not be initialized correctly for the new card
  • Added some extra checking when loading the GDI+ library to prevent failure on some Vista and Win7 machines.
  • Network statistic counters should now be loaded correctly in non-English versions of Windows
