Software Update: OpenTTD 0.7.1

Spread the love

On Tuesday, the first update was released for the version 0.7.0 of OpenTTD, which was released at the beginning of April. In this open source clone of the Microprose game Transport Tycoon Deluxe, the goal is to build a transport empire by road, rail, water and air. OpenTTD is available for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X, and can do more than just mimic the game. For example, up to 64 times larger maps can be used than in the original, the AI is worthy of its name and up to eight players can participate in a multiplayer game. Note that OpenTTD still needs data files from the original game. Version 0.7.1 contains a large number of bug fixes, especially in the opponent’s AI. The release notes of this version can be found below:

OpenTTD 0.7.1

The first bug fix release of the 0.7 series. As usual it fixes lots of bugs and adds a few AI related features (primarily in the API).

Some changes made our handling of AIs more strict which means that some AIs might not function as expected anymore.
