Software Update: NewsLeecher 4.0 Beta 7

The new beta releases of NewsLeecher 4.0 continue to follow each other in rapid succession. Less than half a week after beta 6, the successor is ready for you. With this program it is possible to download files from newsgroups in a simple way. NewsLeecher has support for nzb files, has a so-called ‘super search’, and can automatically check downloaded files for integrity and completeness and then extract them independently. in version 4.0, support for threads has been added and adjustments have been made to handle the increased retention of super search, which is now 370 days. The following changes have also been made in this seventh beta release:

New features:

• The NewsLeecher license status is now, optionally, shown on the captionbar and titlebar. The option can be accessed from:
  Settings -> Adv. Nerdy Tweaks -> GUI_License_Status_On_Titlebar

Improved features:

• It now possible to specify the spacing between texts in the NewsLeecher listview columns. The default spacing value is set to 1, whereas the spacing was 0 in previous releases. The setting can be accessed from:
  Settings -> Adv. Nerdy Tweaks -> Listview_Column_Spacing
• Reworked the way the queues ‘Pause’ / ‘Resume’ features work on queued article collections.
• Smaller improvements. (it’s possible to enable the speed scheduler without opening the scheduler setup dialog, the filters dialog GUI has been improved, etc..)

Fixed bugs:

• In previous betas, Shift + PgUp and Shift + PgDn didn’t work for selection entries. fixed.
• The ‘Post New’ and ‘Post Reply’ features were somewhat broken in the previous beta release. Fixed.
• Fixed bug introduced in one of the previous betas, where the NewsLeecher tab pages couldn’t be turned on / off.
• Smaller fixed. (Accessing ‘Settings’ from the main menu didn’t work in previous beta, bug shown when deleting entries from the transfer queue under certain circumstances, etc..)
