Software Update: NewsBin Pro 5.55 build 9762

DJI Interprises released version 5.55 build 9762 of NewsBin Pro last Thursday. This program is intended to retrieve files such as photos, movies and programs from usenet. These files can be downloaded in individual packets from one or more news servers and reassembled at the receiving end. Downloads are available for 32bit and 64bit versions of Windows and are between three and four megabytes in size. DJI Interprises provides the following release notes with this version:

New for version 5.55:

• Significant internal changes to better support high speed connections with minimal CPU requirements.
• Fixed issues in 5.54 including problem where header download progress bars weren’t getting updated.
• Improved AutoPAR reliability
• Multi-core support during PAR repair.
• Processes GZipped NZB files.
• New Display Group Mode option. When enabled, Newsbin will not load old or downloaded posts into a post list to speed group loading. Tied to the Hide Old option on a post list.
• One installer for both 32 and 64 bit systems. Allows 64 bit systems to force install of 32 bit version if desired
• Installer now allows language selection.
