Software update: NewsBin Pro 5.54 build 9644

DJI Interprises released version 5.54 build 9644 of NewsBin Pro last Thursday. This program is intended to download files such as photos, movies and programs from Usenet. These files can be downloaded in separate packets from one or more news servers and are reassembled at the receiving end. Downloads are available for 32bit and 64bit versions of Windows and are between three and four megabytes in size. DJI Interprises includes the following release notes with this version:

New for version 5.54:

• Supports up to 100 connections.
• First time access to a newsgroup is now configured using days instead of number of messages.
• Now supports email notifications of completed AutoPAR files and error messages. Configure under the Options menu.
• Now uses .RV4 format for stored headers. Basically combines all the .RV3 files per day to reduce total file count which speeds up access to stored headers.
• New setting to force SSLv2 connections instead of SSLv3.
• New setting to make XFEATURES command optional.
