Software Update: Mozilla SeaMonkey 2.30

Mozilla has released version 2.30 of SeaMonkey. SeaMonkey is the continuation of the former Mozilla Application Suite and consists of a web browser and programs for e-mailing and reading news. A simple HTML editor is also provided. Unlike the Mozilla Application Suite, SeaMonkey is maintained by the community, while the SeaMonkey Council oversees maintenance. The list of changes for this release is as follows:

SeaMonkey specific changes

  • Adding certificate exceptions for mail servers failed (bug 1059476).
  • Install add-on doorhanger notifications were not displaying (bug 1051006).

Mozilla platform changes

  • OMTC has been enabled by default on Windows.
  • OpenH264 support (sandboxed) has been added.
  • A new CSP backend was implemented.
  • Support for connecting to HTTP proxies over HTTPS was implemented.
  • Improved reliability of the session restoration.
  • WebCrypto support has been enhanced: Added RSA-OAEP, PBKDF2 and AES-KW support, implemented wrapKey and unwrapKey, enabled import/export of JWK-formatted keys.
