Software Update: Mozilla Firefox 3.6 RC2

The Mozilla Foundation has released the second release candidate of version 3.6 of its web browser Mozilla Firefox. Version 3.6 is built around version 1.9.2 of Gecko and contains several improvements to the user interface. For example, the appearance can be easily adjusted through so-called personas and there is support for a new font format, namely the Web Open Font Format. Compared to the first release candidate, more than seventy bugs have been removed from the browser:

Firefox 3.6 Release Candidate is built on Mozilla’s Gecko 1.9.2 web rendering platform, which has been under development for several months and contains many improvements for web developers, Add-on developers and users. This version is also faster and more responsive than previous versions, and has been optimized to run on small device operating systems such as Maemo.
