Download Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer 2.0

Microsoft has released a new version of its Baseline Security Analyzer. It is version 2.0 and the 1.22MB file can be downloaded from here. MBSA performs a scan on a Windows 2000, XP, or 2003 system and determines if there are known “holes” in security. This includes patches that have not yet been installed, but also incorrect settings that pose a risk to security. New in this version is support for the embedded and 64-bit versions of Windows.
