Software Update: Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 2.00.0.1000

The final release of Anti-Malware version 2.0 has been released. This program is aimed at fighting spy, ad and malware, especially the removal of malicious software that pretends to be a bona fide antivirus or antispyware solution, but in reality has less good intentions, such as ransom- or scareware. In addition to the free version, there is a paid variant, which offers additional functionality, including real-time protection.

In version 2.0 we find, among other things, a new user interface, Anti-Rootkit and the Chameleon driver are now included as standard and the module for blocking malicious websites has been considerably improved. From version 2.0 onwards, a license will only be valid for one year. Previously, this was a lifetime license and it remains valid under those conditions. • Enhanced version of Malicious Website Protection for Windows Vista SP2 and above (better performance, added ability to exclude processes such as BitTorrent clients from Malicious Website Protection, ability to manually exclude IP addresses and individual URLs/websites by domain name)
• Native x64 system location scanning, detection and malware removal
• Substantial improvements to core detection and removal technology

Issue Fixed:

• Performance issues when streaming audio on Vista SP2 and newer when using Malicious Website Protection should now be resolved
