Software Update: Linux Kernel 5.2.1

Spread the love

Linux Kernel 5.2.1 was released last Sunday. The Kernel is the heart of the operating system and, simply put, it sits as a layer between the hardware and the applications. As usual you can click Phoronix find a summary of the changes, although the summary of 5.2 might be more interesting to read. Greg Kroah-Hartman’s announcement looks like this:

Linux 5.2.1

I’m announcing the release of the 5.2.1 kernel.

All users of the 5.2 kernel series must upgrade.

The updated 5.2.y git tree can be found at:
git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux-stable.git linux-5.2.y
and can be browsed at the normal kernel.org git web browser:
