Software Update: LibreOffice 3.4.0 Beta 1

Spread the love

The Document Foundation has released a beta release of version 3.4.0 of LibreOffice. This open source office suite and The Document Foundation itself arose after a large number of developers left Oracle dissatisfied with how Oracle managed OpenOffice.org. LibreOffice comes with a word processor (Writer), a spreadsheet program (Calc), a presentation program (Impress), a drawing program (Draw), a database program (Base), and a scientific notation program (Formula). Version 3.4.0 is the first major update since the release of LibreOffice and the changelog is therefore big. The announcement for version 3.4.0 beta 1 can be found below.
