Download Kopete 0.12 beta 2

Kopete is an instant messaging program for the KDE environment on Linux and supports a number of different IM networks. This makes it possible to maintain contacts with different users of these networks from the same program. Support for AIM, ICQ, MSN, Yahoo, IRC, Jabber, Gadu-Gadu, GroupWise, Meanwhile, SMS and Skype networks is provided. The developers have released the second beta version of Kopete 0.12 with the following announcement:

This is Kopete 0.12 Beta 2, the third prerelease in the Kopete 0.12 series. People using the following versions of KDE should be able to compile and install Kopete 0.12 Beta 2:

• KDE 3.3
• KDE 3.4
• KDE 3.5

Please note that emoticons will not work if Kopete is compiled against KDE 3.3 due to the move of emoticon support into kdelibs during the development cycle for KDE 3.4

We urge everyone to compile and install this prerelease of Kopete as it will most likely be the last prerelease before Kopete 0.12.0 is released. Kopete 0.12 will be the last Kopete release for the KDE 3.x series
