Kerio has released version 4.1.0 beta 3 of their Personal Firewall in the beta section on their website. KPF is a widely used fire wall that is known for both good security and easy installation. The changelog reports the following changes from the past few beta versions:

- Simple/Advanced mode – during installation, user can choose default firewall behavior
- preliminary Windows XP SP2 support – upon startup KPF disables Windows Firewall (formerly known as ICF) and register itself to the new SP2 Windows Security Center.
- fixed ‘Set to defaults’ function in predefined network security.
- fixed broken configuration file compatibility (introduced in Beta 3)
Version 4.1.0 Beta 3
- user can now disable dialup number ckecking
- fixed swapped remote and local port in network log
- fixed Overview/Connections – Speed and Bytes columns now shows correct values
- fixed Overview/Connections – now it shows correctly UDP connections
- KPF now uses OpenSSL/iconv/zlib as DLLs (legal reasons)
