Download Joomla! 1.5 beta

The Joomla! released the first beta version of the new 1.5 branch through a press release announced and for download made available for the general public. Joomla! is a comprehensive content management system that runs on a large number of platforms and can be used to create a weblog, website and collaboration site. The software also offers support for so-called extensions, with which the functionality of your own site can be expanded with, for example, statistics, response options and management tools. Exactly one year ago, Joomla! 1.0 has been released. Today, Joomla! releases the next generation framework built from the ground up. Joomla! 1.5 beta delivers more simplicity for the user and much more power for developers.

This effort represents a complete refactoring of the Joomla! codebase and leverages a new API that allows developers to deliver more robust and innovative applications than ever before.
