Download jAlbum 10.9.1
An update for version 10.9 of jAlbum has been released. This program makes it easy to generate and edit professional looking HTML photo albums. In a clean interface, photos can be easily edited, the order can be changed and the appearance of the web page can be determined. If everything is to your liking, the result can be placed on a web page via the built-in ftp client. Because the software is developed in Java, jAlbum is available for a wide range of operating systems. The Windows version has issues with some versions of Java and is therefore bundled with Java, resulting in a larger download.
Since version 10, the program is no longer free for commercial use. A license for version 10 and all 10-series updates costs 39 euros, removes all advertising and gives access to higher priority support. Also new are full support for xmp metadata, the ability to integrate created albums into websites, and the option to exchange images and even entire folders between different projects. The following changes and improvements have been made in this release:
News and Updates
- jAlbum now always prints some diagnostic message to the system console if a severe error occurs that prevents jAlbum from starting
- For skin developers: The JColorSelector component is now somewhat better at supporting colors with alpha channels on Java 7
Bug fixes
- Under rare circumstances, the recent project list would show each entry doubled (since 10.9)
- jAlbum wouldn’t launch on Java 7 (since v10.9)
- jAlbum’s embedded text editor would cause error messages to be printed to the system console when editing new files
- The “Convert spaces to underscores” external tool was broken
