Download Iron 6.0.475

SRWare develops its own browser called Iron, based on Chromium, which is also the source for Google’s Chrome. According to the developers, Chrome includes a score that may harm privacy and have been resolved at Iron. SRWare has released a new version, with version number 6.0.475, for Windows. The Linux and Mac OS X releases have not yet been updated and are therefore stuck at 5.0.381. The accompanying short announcement looks like this:

We released an Iron based on Chromium 6 today. The current version is 6.0.475. Iron 6 includes all new features of Chromium 6:

• only one button for configuration and the documents menu
• improved performance
• AutoFill
• Bug fixes/security improvements
• new color scheme
