Software Update: Intel Processor Frequency ID Utility 5.6

Intel has provided the Intel Processor Frequency ID Utility program with a new version which has been given the number 5.6. This program has been developed to check the speeds at which your Intel processor is running. This makes it possible to check whether the processor has not been overclocked by the seller. Since version 5.0 there are two different versions available, namely a version for the Windows platform and a bootable version that can be placed on a floppy. Support for the following processors is available:

  • Pentium® M
  • Intel Xeon™
  • Pentium 4
  • Mobile Pentium 4
  • Pentium III
  • Mobile Pentium III with Intel SpeedStep™ technology
  • Pentium III Xeon
  • Intel Celeron®
  • Mobile Celeron
