Download ICQ 2001a pre-release

DJSmiley pointed us to the front page of M3DZone, which has a piece about the latest version of ICQ. The most important change is that from this version your contact list is stored on ICQ’s servers, so that you have the same contact list everywhere, as is already the case with MSN Messenger. A disadvantage of this change is that you once again have to ask all the people on your contact list for permission to add them. According to M3DZone, the conversion from the 2000b contact list to the new 2001 contact list went smoothly.
