Software Update: HyperSnap-DX 6.30.02

Spread the love

There are several programs to capture the things you see on your screen into a graphic file, the so-called ‘screen grabbing’. One of the oldest programs that can do this is Hypersnap-dx from Hyperionics. Yesterday Hyperionics released version 6.30.02 Hypersnap-dx. Hypersnap-dx can take screenshots of screens, windows or buttons in the normal desktop environment, as well as in Directx, Opengl and Glide environments. There is also an auto-scroll function that allows you to take screenshots of things that are larger than the screen, for example of a web page. Below are all the changes the program has undergone since its previous entry in the Meuktracker:

Changes in HyperSnap version 6.30.02:

  • Improved color reduction algorithm for “optimized” palette on Color/Color Resolution menu and for saving GIF images

Changes in HyperSnap version 6.30.01:

  • A new method to capture video overlays added – enable it under “Capture” menu, “Enable Video or Game Capture…”. Once enabled, regular HyperSnap screen capture functions also capture video images.
  • Text and stamps dialog boxes now remember the last used text alignment option (such as centered or right justified text)
  • Fixed a small bug in print preview.
