Download FrostWire 5.3.4
Version 5.3.4 of FrostWire has been released. FrostWire is a file sharing program written in Java for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. Since version 5, it is no longer possible to download via the Gnutella network, but only via BitTorrent. It came about when Limewire, after which this program is modeled, in 2005 considered adding code that would allow copyrighted material to be banned. The Windows installation comes with an Ask toolbar; so pay attention to what is checked when installing. The changelog of this release shows the following changes and improvements:
Changes in FrostWire version 5.3.4:
- New frostwire.exe launcher with extended Unicode support now able to handle .torrent file names with extended Unicode characters.
- Windows build is Windows 8 compatible.
- Windows build will prefer Java 7 if not JRE is found.
- Improvements when sending files on a local area network via magnet link or send file to friend.
- Bug fix when opening magnets from a website when FrostWire was already running.
- User experience improvements on the transfer manager.
- Spanish translation update (93% translated)
- YouTube video search and download support.
