Software update: Foxit Reader 3.3 build 0430

Spread the love

Foxit Software has released version 3.3 of Foxit Reader. This program is an alternative to Adobe Reader. It can handle most PDF documents very well, but complex or very large documents can sometimes be a bit too much of a challenge. However, it is a godsend for computers with limited resources. The program is free, but for certain functions, which are part of the so-called pro pack must be paid. An example is the function to comment on a PDF file. Besides some bug fixes and the ability to hide the ask toolbar, the main improvement in this release is the tightening of security.

What’s New in Foxit Reader 3.3

  • Secure Trust Manager
The new Secure Trust Manager enables users to allow or deny unauthorized actions and data transmission, including URL connection, attachments PDF actions, and JavaScript functions; efficiently avoiding the attack from malicious contents and viruses.
  • Improved Ask Search Button Setting
Enables users to show or hide the Ask Search Button in the Preferences menu.
  • Many Bug Fixes
Fixes some bugs from previous versions including an issue where Ask Toolbar may be installed by default.
