Ffdshow is a DirectShow filter that can play DivX, XviD, WMV, MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 files. The program uses the libav codec from the ffmpeg project for video decompression, mplayer’s postprocessing code for improved visual quality of low bitrate files, and is based on the original DirectShow filter from XviD. The development team recently released a new version with 2004-03-19 as the version designation. The following changelog is included:
