DameWare Development has updated its DameWare NT Utilities to version number 6.6.0.0 yesterday. These programs are intended for remote management and administration of Windows NT, 2000, XP, 2003 and Vista workstations, servers and domains. The DameWare NT Utilities include a very extensive Active Directory Object Browser and the programs DameWare Mini Remote Control and DameWare Exporter. The software can be fully tested for 30 days before it has to be purchased. The changelog of the three separate programs shows the following changes:
DameWare NT Utilities
- Version Revision.
DameWare Mini Remote Control
- Protocol Revision. This release will require a forced update to the MRC Client Agent service on the remote machine. If you select No when prompted to update the Client Agent service, then you connection will be disconnected.
- Various enhancemets & work-arounds for performance & recovery issues in the Vista Operating System.
- Enhancements to Fast User Switching under Vista & XP.
- Enhancements to aid in the detection of possible O/S and/or Network Names Resolution issues.
- Enhancements for various disconnections. Fixed.
- Proxy Secret password did not work properly. Requires update to MRC Client Agent on both the proxy machine and the destination machine. Fixed.
LadyWare Exporter
- Alternate credentials, either for machine or task, not being used/saved properly. Fixed.
