Crap Cleaner is a program that can remove unnecessary files from Windows PC. Not only the well-known repertoire is featured, but also the clutter left behind by commonly used programs such as Windows Media Player, eMule, Kazaa, Google Toolbar, Netscape, Office XP, Nero, Adobe Acrobat and WinRAR. The program also has a registry scanner on board that cleans up old and unused keys. Version 1.09 of Crap Cleaner has just been released and it has the following changes:

v1.09.056 [14 May 2004]

  • Changed website link to www.ccleaner.com.
  • Minor fixes and tweaks.

v1.09.055 [12 May 2004]

  • Added XP Prefetch cleaning. (Only files older than 14 days)
  • Added default option to only remove Temporary Files older than 10 days.
  • Added warning to Autocomplete history that passwords are removed.
  • Added debug logging with the command-line parameter /LOG.
  • Added WinZip MRU cleaning.
  • Fixed bug to allow it to work on Win95.
  • Minor tweaks and bug fixes.

v1.08.054 [4 May 2004]

  • Added more error checking to issue scanning.
  • Added ignoring of removable drives.
  • Fixed another redrawing issue.
  • Fixed minor issues on recognizing certain path references.
