Download ChrisTV 5.05

Version 5.05 of ChrisTV was released yesterday. This program is intended for people with a TV card in the computer and includes advanced recording functions, a scheduler and extensive setting options. ChrisTV can handle all TV cards that use wdm drivers, including the fm tuner functions. The software is available in Lite (free), Standard and Professional flavors. The differences in options and price can be this page can be found in a clear table. New in this release is the ability to record sound as a background task and several bug fixes, including minimization in ChrisTV Lite. The full changelog of this release looks like this:

Changes in version 5.05:

• Added Audio/Radio Background Recording Mode to ChrisTV PVR Professional.
• Fixed background recording initialization problem when “Use advanced rendering mode” was enabled.
• In some cases AVI and Radio recording settings did not load properly for scheduled recordings with preview.
• ChrisTV Agent checks more frequently for the next task, to prevent recording failure when the first scheduled task takes place in more than 20 hours.
• Optimized ChrisTV PVR launch time.
• Improved and optimized the Timeshift buffering engine for some capture devices.
• Fixed some recording settings for some MPEG hardware encoding TV cards.
• Other minor fixes and improvements.
