Download CCleaner 6.18

Piriform has released version 6.18 of CCleaner. This program can clean up various parts of Windows. This includes temporary Windows and Internet files, but also unnecessary junk from a large number of other programs, including Windows Media Player, Google Toolbar, Microsoft Office, Photoshop, WinRAR and so on. In addition, the number of programs that CCleaner can clean up the mess can easily be expanded with the CCEnhancer program.

In addition to cleanup, CCleaner can also fix registry and shortcut errors, customize the list of programs that start with Windows, and manage cookies. From this version onwards, the overall condition of the computer can also be tested. In addition to a free version, there is also a pro version, which offers, among other things, an automatic update function. The following changes and improvements have been made in this release:

Taking the hassle out of PC maintenance

• We have initiated the roll-out of the new Software Updater tool which will also be included in the Health Check and brings a larger app database. A small set of users might experience the new Software Updater in the app.
• We extended testing of the new Health Check flow to more users, which improves guidance during the cleaning and optimization steps.
• We expanded our cleaning to our Customer Support tool.

Fixing bugs and other improvements

• We optimized the UI on the overview screen and for Software Updater and Driver Updater post-update screens.
• We resolved an issue when Software Updater might get stuck during the update of multiple apps simultaneously.
• We resolved several licensing issues related to refunds and license expiration.
• We improved the handling of uninstall parameters in the Uninstaller feature.
• We implemented a fix to component permissions to prevent potential misuse.
