BlueGriffon is an open source and cross platform wysiwyg html editor and the successor to Nvu. The program is based on Gecko, the rendering engine of Mozilla Firefox. The basic version of BlueGriffon, which has extensive user options, is free, but for advanced options and even the instructions must be paid. Nowadays it can also be used to edit e-books, although a separate license is required for this. The changelog for this release looks like this:
