Auto Gordian Knot is one of the simplest programs to convert a DVD movie to DivX or XviD. For some time now, the team behind AutoGK wanted to release another stable version, and after 24 beta versions, after the release of XviD 1.0, they decided to do so now. It is therefore no longer necessary to install the 1.0 stable with a beta on top. The program comes with the aforementioned XviD codec, and a number of tools such as DVD2AVIdg, VirtualDubMod, BeSweet, Avisynth and VobSub to convert a DVD movie to an avi file. All you need is DVD Decrypter to rip the movie. A comprehensive tutorial, describing the entire process from start to finish, is here to find. The changelog for version 1.25 stable is as follows:
