Software Update: AnyDVD 6.5.9.5

SlySoft has released version 6.5.9.5 of AnyDVD. This program runs in the background in Windows and is able to bypass the region and copy protection of DVD, HD DVD and Blu-ray discs on the fly. It is also able to skip ‘mandatory parts’, such as copyright and FBI warnings. Finally, the speed of the drive can also be adjusted to reduce the noise produced during playback.

A license of AnyDVD costs 41 euros, while the HD version has to pay 63 euros. Previously you had a lifetime license for this, but since the beginning of this year that has been converted to a license that is only valid for one year. This can be extended for a few euros more, for example 49 euros for two years for the standard edition. Since the beginning of this year, a ‘temporary’ discount of 20 percent has been given on the purchase price and until now the period has been extended each time. The following changes and improvements have been made in this release:

• New: Improved wakeup from standby, autoplay is no longer triggered in Windows Media Center, ArcSoft TMT, PowerDVD and other programs if a disc is in the drive and the system wakes up from standby
