Download Ahead InCD 4.0.1.0

Ahead has released a new version of its program InCD. Version 4.0.1.0 of the software will provide us with all our CD-RW writing needs until the end of this month. InCD allows you to use a CD-RW as if it were a regular hard disk. Ordinary CD-Rs cannot be used with the program. What exactly has changed in the new release is not clear, however, under ‘important installation information’ it says the following:

operating system: Windows 95 OSR2.x / 98 / ME / NT4.0 SP6 / 2000 SP2 / NEW….WINDOWS XP!!![break]If you are already looking for the download link, you should read the story below:[/break][…] One of the new components of InCD 4 is the SmartDetect tool, which automatically recognizes your CD and/or DVD recorder and its properties, even if your burner is newer than your InCD 4 version.

Currently, SmartDetect is still undergoing testing, which means it has not been possible to try it out on all commercially available recorders (this mainly refers to all older models). If you are completely satisfied with InCD 3, we advise you not to update to Version 4, as we cannot guarantee it will run smoothly on all recorders.
