Acronis has released a new version of True Image Home 2011. Acronis True Image is a comprehensive backup utility. This can be of important files on the hard drive, but also as an image of a partition or complete hard drive. In version 2011, the ability to create an incremental backup every 5 minutes has been added and the integration with Windows 7 has been improved. Since build 6696, the following changes and improvements have been made:

• Windows 7 SP1 is now supported.
• Better hardware support in Linux bootable media.
• Intel 82579LM Gigabit Network card (8086:1502) is now supported.

List of issues fixed since the previous build:

• “Operation has failed. Backup validation Task execution failed” message appears on every Windows start.
• A backup of Windows Live Mail installed from Windows Live Essentials 2011 completes with errors if Live Mail was not running during the backup operation.
• The task, scheduled At system shutdown, hangs if Shutdown after backup option is selected.
• GUI hangs when restoring from a Pure-FTPd server.
• TrueImageService.exe occasionally hangs on computer shutdown.
• An error occurs when editing a backup task after a previously created archive has been deleted or is unavailable.
• Acronis True Image Home hangs at startup for 15-30 seconds if NAS was used as a backup location and is turned off.
• After using Live Update for a trial version of Acronis True Image Home, a trial period decreases from 90 to 30 days.
• Unable to copy an event code from an error message.
• The “Checking credentials” message appears while saving changes of a destination location, which was password-protected, for a backup with a large number of incremental backups.
• The error message “Failed to add the backup to the backup list.” appears when saving backup task parameters with a password protected network share selected as a destination location.
• Pure-FTPd/vsftpd backups fail when the ftp command is wrongly specified and no log has been created.
• Acronis Nonstop Backup errors out with 0x00E40022+0x00000009.
• Acronis True Image Home fails to backup EFS encrypted files/folders if the “Store encrypted files in a decrypted state” option is selected.
• Backup of a mapped network drive fails. Such a drive can be unaccessible under WinPE.
• Acronis True Image Home shows an empty destination in backup logs.
• New SMTP authentication methods had been added.
• The typed in encryption key in the dialog box is displayed in plain text after deleting client.crt.
• Automatic cleanup rules for Custom scheme cannot be saved if a focus in the Backup options is located on a different tab when clicking OK.
• Folders in a folders tree in “Explore and Recover” are sorted in descending alphabetical order.
• Errors occur in Application Event Log in Windows 7, when Acronis True Image Home is not in use.
• Acronis Startup Recovery Manager activation from Linux bootable media fails.
• Popup menu cannot be selected when right-clicking Try&Decide tray icon.
• “Wake up the sleeping/hibernating computer” parameter does not work properly when scheduling an operation.
• BSoD appears when a backup that has slices located on different locations is being mounted in a read only mode.
• When trying to create an email backup, a user with a non-administrator account receives a warning message saying that Acronis True Image Home has been started by another user whose email account will be backed up. The current user may continue or cancel the operation.
• When trying to deactivate Acronis Startup Recovery Manager while it is being used, a warning about the impossibility of its further activation, has been added.
• The “Clean up…” option on the Nonstop Backup box in the Home window is now not available if there is only one backup version.
• Recreated backup task based on a backup located on a network disk fails.
