Software Update: µTorrent 2.0.3 Build 20091 Beta

Spread the love

A new beta version from the 2.0.x branch of µTorrent was released on Sunday. New in version 2.0.3 build 20091 beta is, among other things, that limiting the bandwidth used can be set separately for tcp, utp and overhead traffic. It can also be specified not to use udp trackers anymore and the utp data packets have been enlarged, so that less need to be sent per second. The full changelog for this release looks like this:

New features:

  • Add checkbox to disable UDP trackers

Changes:

  • Render TCP rates in speed graph when uTP is not throttled
  • Moved net.calc_overhead to the Bandwidth settings pane
  • Turn on uTP throttling when scheduler is in “limited” mode
  • made uTP packet size increase based on low delay measurements
  • new advanced settings net.disable_ipv6 that defaults to True on 64bit Windows
  • Don’t show add torrent dialog by default.
  • Sharper help graphic

Fixed:

  • Fixed a delayed ack issue in uTP (lowers overhead)
  • made magnet links in RSS feeds work
  • made uTP packet size depend on total send rate, not just uTP send rate
  • fixed crash while adding torrents – if more than 100 are added concurrently it will be done silently
