Almost everyone knows that there are super small cameras: there is usually one in your own smartphone. But there are cameras that are much, much smaller. The OmniVision OV6948, the smallest camera in the world, for example.
The OmniVision OV6948 can safely be called a technological miracle. The mini-scale device has dimensions of only 0.575 x 0.575 x 0.232 mm. Nevertheless, the mini camera with its RGB Bayer back-side-illuminated sensor can take color photos with 40,000 pixels.

Of course, the camera is not intended for everyday use, but especially for medical applications. Due to the small dimensions, the device can easily be introduced into your body, for example during an operation. This, of course, offers enormous benefits for the surgeon, who not only needs to rely on his knowledge and experience, but also has a good view of what he is doing.
