Shoot your screen with the Monstergecko

Toms Hardware saw a MonsterGecko on the store shelves and had to get it naturally to test. The full name of this toy is the ‘MonsterGecko PistolMouse FPS’ and is actually little more than an ordinary mouse in a pistol jacket. It is therefore not a lightgun as known from the ancient game consoles. The MonsterGecko therefore has an optical sensor to scan the surface on which it is placed and is connected to the computer by means of a USB cable. Connecting this cable also immediately involves the complete installation, as the system is immediately recognized as a scrolling mouse.

According to the reviewer, a pistol’s handle is more ergonomic, and thus easier to hold for long periods of time, than a traditional mouse. The buttons are excellently placed, but pressing the scroll button takes some getting used to. According to Uncle Tom, this MonsterGecko is worth $40 for avid gamers.
