Samsung releases 77″ S90C-QD OLED TV in Germany for 3999 euros – update

Samsung has released the recommended prices of the two new QD OLED TV models for the German market. For example, the S90C with a diagonal of 77 inches would cost 3999 euros. In the meantime, the prices specific to the Benelux have also been announced.

Update, 2/27/2023: Samsung has announced the specific suggested retail prices for the Benelux, including the prices for the S90C and S95C described in this article. In all cases the prices are higher than those for the German market. The original message follows below.

Samsung has released the German prices and release periods of the S90C and S95C, writes the German website 4KFilme. It seems to be recommended prices and there may still be some differences in prices per country. An official Samsung event will follow later this month; then perhaps the prices per country will become clear.

For the sizes of 55 and 65 inches, there is a 500 euro difference between the S90C and the more expensive S95C model; at the 77″ format, the S95C is 800 euros more expensive than the S90C. Previously, Samsung already showed the 77″ S95C-QD OLED TV with a price of 4499 dollars on its American site.

The S95C will be the highest positioned model of QD OLED televisions that Samsung will market this year. The new model has a One Connect Box, an external box containing the power supply and all connections, which is connected to the screen of the television with one thin cable. The S90C doesn’t get a One Connect Box and appears to be a more direct successor to last year’s S95B. The S95C gets a second generation QD OLED panel; it is still unclear whether this also applies to the S90C.
