Photos of the Samsung Gear IconX have appeared. These would be wireless earbuds that work via bluetooth, and can also serve as a fitness tracker and standalone music player. Samsung is also working on a Gear Fit 2 bracelet.

The photos of the Gear IconX and Gear Fit 2 were published by Evan Blass on Venturebeat. He says he received the images from a person who is said to be testing the products. According to that person, the IconX earbuds could work completely independently as a music player. 4GB of flash memory would be built in for this. The bluetooth earbuds also work as a fitness tracker, although this will probably require a combination with a smartphone. The operation of the earphones would work with touch and the box in which they are kept contains a battery with which they are charged.

The Gear Fit 2 is the successor to the sports bracelet that Samsung released in 2014. Like the first model, the new version will have a curved OLED screen. The screen of the Gear Fit 2 would be slightly more curved, which should improve the ergonomics. The bracelet would also have its own GPS chip, which the first model does not have. Like the original Gear Fit, the Fit 2 will likely also have a heart rate sensor and pedometer. Sports performance data can be analyzed with the S Health app for Galaxy smartphones. The strap can also be used to display notifications from a smartphone. When Samsung will release the Gear Fit 2 and Gear IconX and what the products will cost is not yet known.
