Samsung has confirmed that it will announce a foldable smartphone on February 20 during its own event. The manufacturer will probably also announce the new Galaxy S10 models. A few days later the Mobile World Congress starts in Barcelona.
In a message on Twitter, the South Korean manufacturer reports that “the future of mobile phones is unfolding on February 20”. In a short accompanying trailer video, images are also shown of text that apparently moves around a rounded corner of a screen, giving the impression that it is a mobile device with a foldable screen.
The announcement takes place during the own Unpacked event. Samsung has not brought out new details about the foldable smartphone, but the manufacturer already showed a prototype in November, which has a 4.6 “screen on the outside and a foldable 7.3” screen on the inside.
There was a rumor a month ago that Samsung will announce its foldable smartphone on February 20th at its own event in London and San Francisco. The company is therefore expected to show the new Galaxy S10 smartphones.
