Samsung has expanded the Q900R line of 8k TVs that the company announced last year with a 98-inch model. It is the largest television that Samsung has released to date.

The 98″ Qled with 8k resolution will be available alongside the Q900R models with 65″, 75″ and 85″ screens. Samsung also mentions an 82″ model. The company already showed it at the introduction of the Q900R series at the IFA last year, but it did not come to Europe then. It is not known whether that model will be available in Europe in 2019. appears.

Samsung released the Q900R line in October last year. The TVs have, among other things, a Quantum Processor 8K chip for upscaling to 8k images that the TV receives via streaming, USB, HDMI or set-top box. The TVs also have support for HDMI 2.1, the Bixby assistant and HDR10+. The peak brightness is 4000cd/m² and they have Direct Full Array Elite for local dimming.

All 2019 Qled TVs support voice control with Samsung’s own assistant Bixby. The company is bringing that assistant to refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners and smart speakers. Samsung’s TVs can also be operated with Amazon Echo and Google Home. Samsung previously announced that the TVs support Apple iTunes and AirPlay 2. Both are also coming to the 2018 lineup, via a firmware update.
