Microsoft seems to be weeks at Microsoft 365 Consumer, a consumer version of the subscription service for multiple Microsoft products. The offer would be in addition to the existing business packages.

Microsoft has put some vacancies online in which the description M365 Consumer Subscription is mentioned, finds ZDNets Microsoft watcher Mary Jo Foley. The description shows that it is a new team within Microsoft that focuses on the new subscription form.

At present, there are Microsoft 365 subscriptions for companies, enterprises, and education. The subscriptions include Windows 10, Office 365 and Enterprise Mobility + Security for security and management of Windows 10 and mobile devices. For companies the upgrade of Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 Pro to Windows 10 Pro is included.

It is not clear how Windows 10 would fit into the subscription for consumers or how Microsoft 365 Consumer should distinguish itself from Office 365 Home. Most consumers receive a Windows 10 license when purchasing a laptop, for example.

ZDNet speculates that the consumer subscription of Microsoft 365 from Windows 10, Office 365 Home, Skype, Cortana, Bing, Outlook Mobile and Microsoft To -Do is going to exist. Microsoft did not respond to the rumor.
