Amazon subsidiary Ring has presented a new version of its cheapest video doorbell. Upgrades to the bell include recording images in 1080p resolution and being able to set zones.

The new bell is most similar to the Video Doorbell 2 from 2017. The bell does support the improved night vision of that doorbell, for example. Other upgrades from the latest generation of doorbells like the 3 Plus, such as the Foresight function, are not included. The doorbell does not support WiFi on 5GHz either.

Ring claims that it contains better sensors compared to the old version from 2014. The image must offer better contrast. Further details are unknown. The angle of view is 155 degrees. The doorbell will go on sale in June for 99 euros.
