A team of modmakers is working on a Red Dead Redemption 2 mod that will allow players to experience the game as an officer of the law. This not only offers new gameplay options, but also a completely new experience. It is not yet known when the mod will be released.

In Red Dead Redemption 2, gamers usually play as Arthur, a purebred outlaw in the Wild West. However, a team of modmakers has turned this around completely: RDRFR is a mod for the PC version of the game, in which players can experience the game as a sheriff.

RDRFR isn’t the first rodeo for these mod makers: the team previously worked on a police mod for GTA V. The makers expect an experience somewhat similar to the GTA police mod, but with a greater focus on interacting with the environment and residents of the Wild West. Also, more attention should be paid to conducting research; because of a lack of security cameras, solving crimes in the nineteenth century was considerably more difficult than it is today.

It is not yet known when the mod will be released, but the makers indicate that they want to make the beta version available as soon as possible. “Instead of working for months on this mod, we want to get the ball rolling in a few weeks.” The development team hopes that the mod will gradually unfold in this way. The team hopes to receive more targeted feedback this way and can possibly adapt the mod based on the playstyle of the first users.
