Sony is releasing the PlayStation 5 games developed by its own studios for a suggested retail price of 80 euros. This makes the games 10 euros more expensive than what Sony now asks for its PlayStation 4 titles.

In a blog, Sony writes which of its games will be released simultaneously with the PlayStation 5 on November 19. These are games made by studios owned by Sony. Demon’s Souls, Destruction All Stars have a suggested retail price of 80 euros. This seems to be the new standard price for ‘full’ games.

Sony is also releasing Spider-Man: Miles Morales simultaneously with the PlayStation 5. That game costs 60 euros, but it is presumably a relatively short game. There is also an Ultimate Edition, which also includes a remaster of PS4 game Spider-Man. That bundle costs 80 euros.

Sackboy A Big Adventure is also for sale immediately upon release, for that game Sony charges a price of 70 euros. Astro’s Playroom will also be released, but that game is installed for free on all PlayStation 5 consoles.

The stated prices are suggested retail prices, which Sony will use for the sale of digital games, but stores may go below that with physical versions. That is also the case with PlayStation 4 games at the moment. Sony sells new titles digitally for 70 euros. That is the case with Ghost of Tsushima, for example. That game is in the Pricewatch for 56 euros.

Launch games PlayStation 5 from SIE Worldwide Studios MSRP
Astro’s Playroom Free
Demon’s Souls 80 euros
Destruction All Stars 80 euros
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales 60 euros
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Edition (incl. Spider-Man: Remastered) 80 euros
Sackboy A Big Adventure 70 euros

Several publishers have already indicated that they will make games for next-gen consoles more expensive. Games are said to have become much more complex in recent years, while the price has barely increased. This often concerns announced increases from 60 to 70 dollars. The euro price may then be higher; that is also the case with Sony. The new games that cost $ 80 here will have a $ 70 price tag in the US.

Prices of PlayStation 5 accessories

Sony also mentions the recommended prices of accessories for the PlayStation 5. The new DualSense controller costs 70 euros and a 100 euros PULSE 3D headset with 3D audio support and microphones will be released.

Sony is also releasing an HD Camera with two 1080p lenses that is intended for streaming, which costs 60 euros. There will also be a Media Remote for 30 euros and a DualSense charging station to charge two controllers, which also costs 30 euros.

Horizon Forbidden West is also coming to PlayStation 4

Sony also announces that a number of previously announced games will be released for both PS5 and PS4. These are Horizon Forbidden West, Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Sackboy A Big Adventure. Players purchasing the game for the PlayStation 4 will receive a free upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version. This also applies to the disc version, the upgrade is already on the disc.

Sony announced the prices of the PlayStation 5 consoles during a PlayStation 5 Showcase live stream on Wednesday evening. The model with Blu-ray drive costs 500 euros and the version without costs 400 euros. The consoles are otherwise identical in terms of hardware. In Europe, the consoles will be on sale from November 19.
